This coaster draws from the miniature paintings of 16th century Istanbul, where daily life inside the palace was recorded in colour and detail rather than grand perspective.

The scene shows a gathering within palace walls. Courtiers in conversation, movement without urgency, celebration without noise. Like the manuscripts that inspired it, the focus is not realism but atmosphere. A moment preserved rather than staged.

The patterns and tones are meant to be noticed slowly, often while a cup rests above them. Something glimpsed in between sips rather than examined all at once.

Placed on a table, it quietly introduces history into an ordinary setting. Not as nostalgia, but as a reminder that beauty once lived comfortably inside everyday moments, and still can.
